Arts Council Short Film – 2023
Taking inspiration from 4 of the 8 locations, I composed a few orchestral pieces and a piano piece for this film. The locations I composed music for were the opening scenes at South Barrule, The Manx Museum, Hango Hill (the piano piece where Sophie is in the water) and Scarlett, the final location.
Manx Wildlife Trust Short Film – 2024
The CEO at the time had heard my piece ‘The Valley Calls‘ and reached out to me to ask if I would help them with music for this film. I used my existing music to put behind the film – carefully considering sequencing of tracks, and when to have silence and when to reduce or increase the volume of the tracks.
Piano Day – 2026
I organised a local piano trail in my village of Ballaugh for Piano day which fell on Sunday 29th this year.
I visited 15 pianos, played some improvisation at each of them.
In the following few days I also visited Kirk Michael Primary to play on their 3 pianos, and the rounded up all the activities with a visit to the Lieutenant Governor’s’ Residence ‘Government house’ to play on their grand piano.
Dawn Chorus – 2026
As part of Manx Wildlife Week, I was invited to play the piano inside the Ballaugh Old Church after the Dawn Chorus.
For this event, I played several inspired improvisations.
